Threaded Expeditions is a small-group tour operator based in Morrison, Colorado. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It is written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because that seemed more useful than the alternative.

Information you give us

When you send a message through the contact form, submit booking details for a goat hike, or start a deposit for an international trip, you provide your name, email address, and whatever details that form asks for. We use this to reply to you and to run the trip you signed up for. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it.

Trip partners

For international trips we pass the minimum necessary traveler details to in-country partners and lodges so they can prepare for your arrival. That means a name for a lodging roster or a dietary restriction for a kitchen, not your full inquiry history.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this one records some information about visits without you typing anything: approximate location, browser and device type, which pages you viewed, and how you arrived.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people find useful and where visitors come from. It sets cookies and reports to Google. You can opt out across every site you visit with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Payments

Deposits and hike fees are processed by PayPal. Card details are entered on PayPal's system and never touch this website or our servers. PayPal handles that information under its own privacy policy.

Forms and hosting

This site is hosted on Netlify, and form submissions are delivered through Netlify Forms. Netlify processes that data on our behalf as a service provider.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. This site uses them for basic function, for the analytics above, and for advertising measurement. You can block or delete them in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you from reading any page here or from booking a trip.

How long we keep things

Contact and booking records are kept as long as needed to run the trip and to meet ordinary business and tax requirements, generally seven years. Analytics and advertising data follow the shorter retention periods set by Google and Meta.

Your choices

• Ask what information we hold about you, and we will tell you.
• Ask us to correct or delete it, and we will, unless we are required to keep it for tax or liability reasons.
• Unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that email.
• Use the opt-out tools above to limit analytics and advertising tracking.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to us and we will handle your request to that standard regardless of where you live.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Minors traveling with us are registered by a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change how we collect or use information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be stated plainly rather than quietly revised.
