What we do instead is pay people properly: local guides, the hotels and lodges we use, and the veterinary teams who lead our community outreach days are hired and paid, not volunteered.
Threaded Expeditions gives to a small number of organizations we believe in, and we state the amounts rather than calling it a percentage.
