You don’t have to be a birder to enjoy a morning at Crown Hill. Come for the fresh air, the company, or a closer look at the wildlife you might usually walk past. If you’re new to binoculars or bird identification, we’ll help you get started.
We’ll take time to stop, watch what’s happening around the lake, and enjoy being outside. Ask questions, practice identifying birds, or simply take it all in. We’ll give wildlife plenty of space.
We head out late morning and finish with lunch. We’ll confirm your start time and meeting details when we arrange your booking.

Do I need to be into birding?
No. This outing is for anyone who wants to get outside and enjoy a relaxed morning in nature. Beginners are welcome, and binoculars are available to borrow. If you already enjoy birding, come along and see what we find.
What should I bring?
Comfortable walking shoes, drinking water, weather-appropriate layers, and sun protection. Binoculars are provided for use during the walk. Bring a valid ID if you plan to order alcohol.
What’s included at lunch?
Your ticket includes a meal and one drink at Illegal Pete’s. Beer, seltzer, cocktails, and nonalcoholic options are available. Additional items and upgrades are paid separately. Restaurant staff take drink orders and serve alcohol to guests 21 and older with valid ID.
Do I have to drink beer?
No. Choose a seltzer, cocktail, or nonalcoholic drink instead. Lunch is a chance to relax and talk about what we saw, whatever you’re drinking.
Are particular bird sightings guaranteed?
No. These are wild birds, and every outing will be different. We’ll focus on learning how to find and observe the birds that are around that day.
What days can I book?
Outings begin September 28, 2026, and are available Sunday through Thursday, subject to availability. Use the booking form to request a date. Submit your details, then continue to PayPal. We’ll confirm your date and start time by email.
